A small business recently asked me to set up an Instagram account. I explained that I couldn’t do that, but offered instead to run a workshop on using Mastodon and Bluesky to reach its target audience in Berlin.

I don’t think small businesses should sacrifice an audience they have spent years building elsewhere. But what if they are starting from scratch? Can they succeed on platforms with fewer people?

Let’s see if it can work. :) Do you know any good examples?

I am seeing reports of a small number of #GazaVerified accounts hounding people who have donated in the past with posts at the rate of “one every few minutes”.

This has to stop.

If you’re doing this, your servers will suspend your accounts and we will not step in to help nor will we reverify a new account.

This is harming everyone on #GazaVerified and the reputation of Palestinians in general and we won’t be tolerating it.

And the people who sympathise with the cause and have donated in the past do not deserve to be harassed in this way.

Question: How do folks in the #fediverse feel about bot accounts generally?

Context: I've got like 100GB of imagepacks gathered over the years. From otters and red pandas to North Korea to architecture.

I was thinking about creating a few bots which would post maybe 1-3 pics per day. Would of course be themed bots.

Mais bon. Si je reprends la definition du vote en #France :
